With clean beds, an all access kitchen and lots of hot water, this hostel is an ideal resting place for the road-weary explorer. There are large common rooms for quiet reading or socializing with fellow pilgrims. The hostel gives its guests the feeling of a home on the road. Located just 5 blocks from downtown Leadville and a bus ride away from Copper Mountain, Inn the Clouds is the perfect spot for your Colorado adventure. INCLUDES: - Two Nights in Private Room - Full Commercial Kitchen - Access to Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, Skiing and More! Your accommodations will include free wifi, private bathroom and either 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds or 2 double beds (based on availability). Additional guests can be accommodated at extra charge. LOCATION Leadville, CO. Just 1 hour and 45 minutes from Denver and 2.5 hours from Colorado Springs. DINING We provide complimentary coffee but not breakfast. We have an all access kitchen that our guests are welcome to use. It contains every utensil you need to cook up whatever your heart desires. We are also 5 blocks away from Harrison Avenue (the main street) where you can find restaurants that provide breakfast. ACTIVITIES NEARBY Choose from a variety experiences while in Leadville. Winter: Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain Cross-country Ski on the Mineral Belt Trail Backcountry skiing Fat Tire biking Snowmobiling ATVs/UTVs with Snow Tracks Chicago Ridge Snow Cat Excursions and back country skiing Dog Sledding Sledding and Tubing Cottonwood and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs are about 40 miles south of Leadville Watch the unique sport of Ski Joring in March Snow Scuplture Explore the Ice Castles in Dillon Ice Skating At 30,000 square feet, the Huck Finn Ice Rink in Leadville is one of the largest man-made rinks in Colorado! The facility features skate rentals, a snack bar, a warming hut, and a great sound system. The ice rink is open from December to March, weather permitting. Skate rentals are available. Ice Fishing Every February, hundreds of ice fishermen from around the state descend upon Leadville for the annual Twin Lakes Fishing Derby hosted by the Leadville Rod and Gun Club. With cash and prizes at stake, it’s become quite the exciting event! Twin Lakes isn’t the only place to find exceptional ice fishing. Other popular lakes include Turquoise Lake and Clear Creek Reservoir. For a more secluded ice fishing experience, check out Hayden Meadows or Crystal Lakes. Big Game Hunting In and around Leadville, hunters have easy access to GMU 48 and GMU 49, where pronghorn, moose, elk, deer, and small game, like dusky grouse, snowshoe hares, and ptarmigans, are found. The GMUs around Leadville are 80% public lands, which means there’s plenty of space for everyone.
